Affordable Housing Plan Development

The Town of Coventry is requesting proposals from experienced, qualified firms for planning and consulting services for the development of an Affordable Housing Plan pursuant to the requirements of Connecticut General Statutes 8-30j. Services shall be required as described in the Scope of Services.  

 Questions regarding this Request for Proposal can be directed to: Eric M. Trott, Coventry Director of Planning and Development, at etrott@coventryct no later than December 6, 2021. Answers to inquiries will be posted by December 7, 2021 on the Town of Coventry website – www.coventryct.org . It is the sole responsibility of the respondent to review any addendum or question responses.    

Four (4) print copies of the proposal and a digital version of all materials shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with “RFP DOCUMENT – DO NOT OPEN – AFFORDABLE HOUSING PLAN DEVELOPMENT” clearly marked on the outside of the envelope, to: Town of Coventry, Office of Town Manager, 1712 Main Street, Coventry, CT 06238 no later than 2:00PM on  December 9, 2021. Emailed, faxed or late proposals will not be accepted.    

The selected firm must meet all municipal, state and federal AA and EEO practices and requirements. MBE's, WBE's, SBE's are encouraged to apply. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or part, to award any one service or group of services or all services, to negotiate with any or all companies submitting proposals, and to enter into an agreement with any vendor for any services mentioned in this RFP, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.   

Proposals may be held by the Town of Coventry for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the opening for the purpose of reviewing the proposals and investigating the qualifications of the bidder prior to awarding the contract.
