The Coventry State of the Lake Forum was held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 7pm at the Coventry High School, Veteran's Auditorium and live streamed on the Coventry Public Schools' YouTube Channel.
This annual event provided statistics and an overview of the health of Coventry Lake. A key topic that was discussed was the recent blue-green algae issue. Representatives from the Eastern Highlands Health District (EHHD), State Department of Public Health (DPH), State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (CT DEEP), and the Coventry Lake Advisory & Monitoring Committee (CLAM) were present.

Coventry's Inland Wetlands Agency, Conservation Commission, and Lake Advisory & Monitoring Committee all currently have openings for members to join. These Agencies/groups each have their own jurisdictions and responsibilities, some of which include reviewing land use development plans, reviewing lake data, participating in water monitoring programs, engaging in open space management and more!
