Town Ordinance Sec. 98-87. - Public highways and municipal off-street parking areas; prohibited parking hours; towing; fines.
(a) There shall be no parking on any public highway or designated municipally owned, leased or operated off-street parking area or lot in the town between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. from November 1 through March 31, nor shall any vehicle be parked in any area that is a temporary no parking area, as designated by the town manager or his or her agent, for the removal of snow or ice.
(b) Any vehicle parked in violation of the provision of subsection (a) of this section may be towed away if necessary to allow the removal of snow or ice.
This town ordinance is enforced by the police department. This ordinance applies to any travelled way within the town which is paved, plowed and/or otherwise maintained by the town, including roads which have never been formally accepted as a public highway by the town. .
Additional emergency parking restrictions may be initiated by the town manager in the event of weather emergencies to clear ice and snow.
