We are looking forward to seeing you and your pets! Please contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 860-742-7966 with any questions you may have.
Per state statute, all dogs six months of age and older must be licensed annually. Dog licenses can be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office. Payments can be made by cash or check, payable to : Town of Coventry.
What to bring with you to get you dogs' licensed:
- Current Rabies Certificate (a license cannot be issued without proof of up to date vaccination)
- Spay/Neuter Certificate (may be it's own certificate or identified on current rabies certificate)
Dog licenses should be renewed in June. A $1 per month late fee will be added to the cost of the license for each month the license has not been renewed starting July 1.
|Month||Spayed / Neutered||Not Spayed / Neutered|
There is a substantial cost savings when licensing an neutered / spayed dog versus one that is not. If you adopt a dog over the age of six months and license within 30 days, no late penalties will be assessed.
