Come Join the Fun!
The Coventry Senior Center welcomes Seniors 60 years and older to enjoy a variety of social, educational and wellness programs. Join us for weekly recreational activities and instructional classes, monthly luncheons and health focused services, annual Tax Aid and Safe Driving Courses and events in collaboration with Coventry's Youth Services.

Seniors can also access several supportive resources through the Senior Center including a Fitness Room, CHOICES counseling (Connecticut's Health, Outreach, Information, Counseling & Eligibility Screening Program) and a Veteran's Advocate. There are no membership or entry fees required to participate.

The Senior Center is now open Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

Senior Community Lunches through TVCCA
Join us for delicious meals offered through the Thames Valley Council for Community Action. Our goal is to schedule these lunch dates twice a month on Wednesdays. The lunches will cost $4.00 or $6.00 depending on the menu. Tickets for the lunch must be purchased in advance and are available at the Senior Center.

MAY 10, 2017 - Reservation requested by May 3rd - $6.00
Crab Stuffed Sole, Scalloped Potatoes, Garden Salad & Chocolate Cake. 

MAY 24, 2017 - Reservation requested by May 17th - $6.00
Stuffed Pork Loin, Mashed Potatoes, Carrots & Peach Crisp 

If you are joining us for a TVCCA lunch, you can also purchase a ticket for takeout to bring a meal home with you to enjoy later. Please note that final meal counts are needed one week in advance of the lunch date. We can no longer offer refunds after the reservation deadline however we can refrigerate your meal for up to 48 hours for later pick-up. Please call the Senior Center at 860-742-3525 for more information.

We have all seen the commercial—”HELP, I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” While talking about injuries sustained from falling is not the most fun, it is a VERY important conversation. According to the National Council on Aging every ELEVEN SECONDS an older adult is treated in the emergency room for a fall related injury. Join Julie Dutton PTA, ATC, LAT & Rory Pogmore DPT, CMP, CIDN from Integrated Rehab (1683 Boston Tpke.,
Coventry) on
Wednesday May 17th at 10:30am for an interactive workshop exploring ways to modify your home for safety, and techniques to improve strength and balance to prevent falls. This event is sponsored by Integrated Rehab.

We are always looking to add programs and welcome your suggestions for guest speakers and/or instructors to lead workshops at our Senior Center. Topics could include, but are not limited to, art, music, local history, gardening, and more. A beautiful lakefront facility and a guaranteed fun-loving audience await you.
